In 1979 Greek Atlas League celebrated its 40th Anniversary. In that span of time, the League had made a positive contribution to the cultural and political life of its people and the Australian way of life had been greatly enhanced by the infusion of the Greek culture. Many league members were also active participants in the trade union movement and had made a significant contribution to the Labor Organisation of New South Wales.
