Yota Krili-Kevans was born in Kerastari in 1937. After arriving in Australia, in 1959, she worked in factories and at various other jobs while gaining a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Diploma of Education in the University of Sydney. In 1997 Yota Krili was awarded an Australia Council Literature Fund prize of $5,000 for her translation of Women in the Sun (1983) from English to Greek.
Kostas Strafiotis was interviewed by George Michelakakis in October 1986. Kostas speaks about his childhood years in Greece, his return to Australia, his involvement with the Greek Radio Program at 2SER and his involvement with the Greek theatre which he found challenging, yet rewarding.
