Lambis (Charalambos) Paschalides was born in Cairo in 1914. His father was from Xanthi and his mother from Kusadasi in Asia Minor. He had a brother, Takis, who was a well-known singer and a sister who passed away at the age of fourteen years. When he was 23 years old, a theatrical troupe asked him to join them in a spanish play titled “For her love”. This is how his theatrical career began… While conversing with George Michelakakis, in November 1986, he recalls many humorous incidents during that play… Lambis arrived in Melbourne in January 1955 via the Swedish ship Seven Seas and boarded the train to meet his friends, Chrysostomos Mandourides and Fotos Stavrou, in Sydney.
