Both the Calokerinos families (Post Office Hotel, Tamworth) and the Samios families (local café) were integral in their communities running small businesses for many, many years during the 1920s through to the late 1960s.
In 2010, William married a Australian born Greek girl (Cleopatra) and they have a beautiful son, keeping their Greek roots very much alive.
Professionally, William is a practising barrister at 2 Wentworth Chambers and he is very proud of his Greek background. He is a member of the Hellenic Australian Lawyers Association and has been active in the Greek community throughout his entire life. William’s practice is also a pro bono and legal adviser to a number of not for profit association in NSW and welcomes Greek brotherhood and Associations to contact him should they need assistance from time to time.
Professionally, William is also a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Tax Adviser and also has a strong interest in building and construction – William is very active in the Master Builders Association (NSW) and welcomes enquires from Property Developers and Planning Professionals that require assistance with their practice including tax advice and tax litigation.
