Victor Leslie Kepreotis was born in 1952 to Leslie and Doreen Kepreotis. Together with his three younger brothers, he worked in his parents’ fish and chips shop in Maroubra, Sydney.
Victor attended South Sydney High, coming 2nd in his HSC and CUO in the Cadets. He holds Bachelor of Dental Surgery (Sydney University, 1976) and has worked in his Lakemba surgery since 1977. He has been on the Board of Governors of All Saints Grammar School, Belmore.
He joined the Kytherian Brotherhood of Australia Committee in 1982 and was Vice President of the Social Club. He found his Kytherian roots in 1982 on his first trip to Kythera with his widowed mother who was also part of the Kytherian Ladies Auxiliary. He became Secretary of the Brotherhood in 1997 and was President from 2000 until 2018. He oversaw the sale of the old Kythera House in 2003, was the bidder for the new Kythera House purchase in 2009 with its refurbishment in 2012. Victor is on the Sydney Committee of the Institute of Kytheraismos that held the 2nd and 6th International Symposiums in Canberra (2006) and Sydney (2014) respectively. He has been Chairman of the Ball subcommittee since 2000 and a Trustee on the KythCare Board.
He married Kathy Kepreotis (nee Vardas) in 1983 and they have three children – Yana, Sacha, and Joshua and four grandchildren- Elias, Maya, Olivia and Zoe. Victor and his family all share a common love of Kythera.
