Journalist and author Vassilis Antoniou Lambropoulos, was a regular member of ESIEA, a member of the International Federation of Journalists, the Pan-Hellenic Federation of Writers’ Associations, the “Kostis Palamas” Association Messolonghi, of the Pan-Hellenic Writers’ Union and Historical Writers, representative for Greece of the Center for Poetry and Modern Greek Literature “Kostis Palamas” of AHEPA NSW and the Union of Greek Writers and Artists of Australia, the Association of Mesolonghi Attica, member of the Association of the newspaper “Roumeliotiki Estia”, member of the Philological Association “Parnassos”.
He worked from 1964 to 1992 in the daily newspapers of Athens ACROPOLIS, ATHINAIKI, APOGEVMATIKI, in several magazines, radio and television stations (ERT, 2MM and Sydney Radio Vima, Greek Herald, Kosmos of Sydney, Hellenism of Perth). His texts are published in many magazines and newspapers in Greece and abroad, while he maintained many years of cooperation with all the publications and media of the province of Messolonghi, as well as with the cultural institutions of Messolonghi. Participated as a trainer in seminars (communication issues, public relations and press offices), lectures and speeches, both in Greece and abroad (Australia, Cyprus, Egypt, America, etc.). He has published sixty books, studies, research, travel, children’s, history, essays, novels and poetry collections.
He was a special advisor to the Ministry of National Education and Religions, OTE, the Bank of Athens, the General Secretariat of Forests and Environment, the Archdiocese of Athens and a member of the Synodal Press Committee of the Church of Greece, member and chairman of the 1986 Primary Disciplinary Council 1992, President of the Journalists Association.
He was honored with mentions, diplomas and medals from Patriarchates (Jerusalem-Alexandria), Churches (Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, Mount Athos, Holy Archdiocese of Sinai), the Holy Monastery of Patmos, the Holy Monastery of St. Penteli, the Folklore Association of Messolonghi, the Women’s Association of Messolonghi “Sacrifice”, the newspaper “Acropolis”, AHEPA of Australia and New Zealand, AHEPA Wellington New Zealand, the Municipality of Messolonghi, the municipality of Rockdale in Sydney, the Union of Greek Writers and Artists of Australia, the Federation of Central Greece Rockdale, DAP-NDFK, ONNED, the Teachers association and more.
He graduated from the Naval School of Oinousses, Chios “Diamantis and Kalliopis Patera”. He studied theater, journalism, public relations. He specialized in seminars on international relations, European politics, sociology, media psychology, public relations, print technique, radio technique, Journalism, Greek language and journalism, statistics and polls (Adenauer Foundation, Public Relations Company, ELKEPA, ESIEA, SEP, OTE, ACROPOLIS newspaper, Armed Forces, EIR).
Vassilis Lambropoulos was married to Katerina Krinou from Syros, with whom they had three children.
