Kay Pavlou is a multi-award-winning director for both television and cinema. Born in Australia to Greek Cypriot parents, her stories transverse diverse subjects and geographical boundaries. Kay has journeyed the planet in the pursuit of stories – Cyprus, Russia, Italy, Poland, Armenia, Belarus, Tonga, Scotland, Ireland, China and extensively across Australia. As a storyteller, she moves effortlessly between documentary and drama.

In documentary, Kay was Series Director and Co-Producer, for RACE TO LONDON. Kay has directed several episodes of WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? (Toni Collette, Adam Goodes, Magda Szubanski, Justine Clarke), RECOGNITION: Yes or No?, FAMILY CONFIDENTIAL, FAMILY FOOTSTEPS and CYPRUS – A PEOPLE DIVIDE.
In TV drama, Kay has directed ALL SAINTS, McLEOD’S DAUGHTERS and LOVE IS A FOUR LETTER WORD.
Kay’s short film, THE KILLING OF ANGELO TSAKOS and her feature docudrama, MARY, were released to international acclaim. She has co-written and will direct her first feature film in Cyprus.
