The Consul-General for Greece (Dr. Vrisakis) was welcomed by committee members, who all wore the Greek national costume. They included the president, Mr. J. Mitsos, the hon. secretary, Mr. N. Macris, and Mr. S. Velof. During the evening tickets were sold in a competition, for which the prize was a painting depicting the now historic engagement of H.M.A.S. Sydney with the Italian warship Bartolomeo Colieoni. A display of their national dances was given by members of the Greek community.
